It is the policy of this Company to
report all accidents to the appropriate investigative agencies and
cooperate fully in any investigation. Managers should take the
following actions immediately after being informed of an accident on
Company property:
1. Summon local emergency medical
professionals if anyone is injured. Provide aid and comfort to the
injured without risking further injury. Notify supervisor and/or
Human Resource/Safety immediately.
2. Secure the accident site immediately
to prevent subsequent injuries and block off the area with
barricades or whatever steps the circumstances
warrant.
3. Supervisor should start gathering
reports from witnesses immediately. All reports must be in writing
and sent to the Human Resource Department as quickly as
possible.
4. All managers and supervisors of the
department involved in the accident will make themselves available
to the Human Resource/Safety Department or the term appointed by
Management to investigate the accident.
5. In addition, all managers and
supervisors will be available to cooperate fully with any outside
investigative agency.
All employees are expected to be
safety-conscious and to report any conditions on the Company's
premises that might cause an accident. Master Pumps has an Employee
Safety Manual that is required reading for each new
employee.
