POLICY STATEMENT
The use, possession, sale, manufacture, transfer, distribution, dispensation, or storage of a prohibited drug or drug paraphernalia by an employee while in the course of employment or while engaged in a Company-sponsored activity, on Company or customer property on or in Company owned, rented or leased vehicles, is strictly prohibited. Further, an employee is strictly prohibited from reporting for work or working under the influence of a prohibited drug or in an impaired condition. An employee shall be deemed to be under the influence of a prohibited drug is he/she test positive for a drug or is found using any prescription drugs containing a narcotic issued to others.
In addition, employees are required to advise the Company in writing through their immediate supervisor when they are using any prescription or over-the-counter drug which contains instructions, restrictions or warnings indicating that use of the drug may cause them to become impaired from safety performing their job duties (for example, indications that the drug may cause drowsiness or that it should not be used while the person is driving or operating equipment). Prescription or over-the-counter medication must be kept in it's original container. Failure to comply with these restrictions with respect to prescription and over-the-counter medication shall be grounds for immediate termination.
ENFORCEMENT
1. DRUG TEST: The Company uses state of the art laboratory drug testing facilities and procedures to conduct urinalysis test for prohibited drugs. Comfirmatory tests are conducted before it is determined that prohibited drugs are detected. Refusal to submit to a test, refusal to sign a consent or other forms utilized in the testing process, or any attempt to tamper with the testing process shall be grounds for immediate termination in the case of an employee, and for denial of employment in the case of an applicant. Tests shall be conducted as follows:
a. RANDOM TESTS: Employees will be randomly selected on a non discriminatory basis for periodic drug testing. Senior management in Grapevine, and local management personnel, will also be required to submit to random testing.
