DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
The success of any safety program
depends upon a numer of factors. The Company, upper management,
safety director, supervisors, and employees must assume a degree of
responsibility for the success of the program. Each segment of the
Company has the responsibility of assuring the success of the
program. The attitude of all parties is very important to the
success of the program.
COMPANY
Master Pumps has the duty and
responsibility to provide a safe place to work that is free of
recognized hazards. The Company has the duty to provide the tools,
training and enforcement of established safety rules and
recommendations.
UPPER
MANAGEMENT
Upper management has the duty and
responsibility of supporting the Company's safety and loss control
program and the Company Safety Director. This should be accomplished
by active support of the safety program, active support of those
individuals responsible for safety, and by example. Location
managers must create a positive safety attitude at their
locations.
LOSS CONTROL
DIRECTOR/COORDINATOR
The appointed Company Safety Director
has the duty and responsibility to oversee the Company's corporate
safety program, to make certain that each location has needed safety
material, and that corporate safety policy is followed. To
accomplish this task the Safety Director should review all
supervisors' accident investigation reports, provide training to
location managers and supervisors, and periodically visit each of
the Company's locations. |
