PAINTING
1. Masks must be worn when
painting.
2. No grinding sould be done in the paint area. 3. The paint area must be kept clean at all times. 4. NO SMOKING in the paint area. SAFETY TRAINING AND
EDUCATION
OSHA regulations require that employers
properly train employees to perform their assigned tasks in a safe
manner. The employer has the responsibility of instructing the
employee how to perform their task, informing the employee of the
hazards associated with the task to be performed, and instructing
the employee how to avoid the hazards of the job.
1. New employees should be shown how to
perform their job in a safe manner. Initially they should be
actively supervised by either the supervisor, or an experienced
employee, to make certain that they can perform the assigned task
safely.
2. No employee is to be assigned to any
task that the employee is not qualified to perform, until that
employee is properly trained and is made aware of the hazards
associated with the assigned task.
3. No employee is to be allowed to
perform any task which cannot be made safe and which places the
employee in danger or injury. |
