4. Monthly safety meetings will be held
at each branch to:
a. Promote location safety, safety
meetings should be held with all employees once a month. b.
Besides discussing safety in general, a specific relevant topic
sould be chosen and discussed. The selection of the specific topic
is the responsibility of the Corporate Safety Director, the location
manager, and the location individual responsible for safety. c.
Meetings should be supervised by the Branch Manager. All employees
should attend. d. A record of each meeting should be retained at
the location. e. Items brought up during meetings, that require
corrective action, should be documented. Corrective action should be
carried out in a timely fashion.
ACCIDENT
INVESTIGATION
The following steps should be followed
for all accidents: 1. Identify 2. Develop 3. Choose one, or
more, of the solutions to be implemented. 4. Implement the chosen
solution. 5. Monitor for desired results.
1. A major corner stone of any safety
program is accident investigation. To help achieve effective
accident investigation, supervisors are required to investigate
incidents and accidents, involving employees, using a formal
accident investigation reporting form.
2. The reporting form should be
completely filled out by the supervisor and reviewed by management.
Particular attention should be given to the cause of the accident
and what steps should be given to the cause of the accident and what
steps should be taken to prevent a reoccurrence.
3. Once the corrective action has been
decided upon, it should be carried out. Individuals should be
assigned the task of carrying out the corrective action and
management should be informed when the corrective action has been
completed. |
