POLICY
STATEMENT
The use, possession, sale, manufacture,
transfer, distribution, dispensation, or storage of a prohibited
drug or drug paraphernalia by an employee while in the course of
employment or while engaged in a Company-sponsored activity, on
Company or customer property or in Company owned, rented or leased
vehicles, is strictly prohibited. Further, an employee is strictly
prohibited from reporting for work or working under the influence of
a prohibited drug or in an impaired condition. An employee sall be
deemed to be under the influence of a prohibited drug if he/she
tests positive for a drug.
In addition, employees are required to
advise the Company in writing through their immediate supervisor
when they are using any prescription or over-the-counter drug which
contains instructions, restrictions or warnings indicating that use
of the drug may cause them to become impaired from safely performing
their job duties (for example, indications that the drug may cause
drowsiness or that it should not be used while the person is driving
or operating equipment). Prescription or over-the-counter medication
must be kept in its original container. Failure to comply with these
restrictions with respect to prescription and over-the-counter
medication shall be grounds for immediate
termination. |
