ENFORCEMENT
1. Drug Test: The Company uses
state-of-the-art laboratory drug testing facilities and procedures
to conduct urinalysis test for prohibited drugs. Confirmatory tests
are conducted before it is determiend that prohibited drugs are
detected. Refusal to submit to a test, refusal to sign a consent or
other forms utilized in the testing process, or any attempt to
tamper with the testing process shall be grounds for immediate
termiation in the case of an employee, and for denial of employment
in the case of an applicant. Tests shall be conducted as
follows:
a. Random Tests: Employees will be
randomly selected on a non-discriminatory basis for periodic drug
testing. Senior management in Dallas and local management personnel
will also be required to submit to random testing.
b. Work Place Accidents: In the event
an employee is invoved in an accident on the job, whether involving
damage to property or an injury, he/she may be required to submit to
a medical test for the presence of prohibited drugs.
c. Suspected Policy Violations: If
there is reasonable cause to sspect that his Policy may have been
violated by an employee or group of employees, such employee(s) may
be requested to submit to medical testing for the detection of
prohibited drugs.
d. Declining Job Performance or Erratic
On-The-Job Behavior: When a supervisor concludes that an employee's
declining job performance or erratic on-the-job behavior may be the
product of an employee's personal problems, and the employee has not
responded to regular supervisory techniques, the employee may be
required to submit to a medical test for prohibited
drugs.
e. Positive Employee Test: An employee
who tests prositive for the presence of a prohibited drug or any
derivative thereof will normally be subject to immediate
termination.
f. Positive Applicant Test: Employment
will be denied to an applicant whose test reveals the presence of a
prohibited drug or any derivative thereof.
2. Searches: The Company reserves the
right to make general or random searches of Company or employee
personal property on or in the company-owned or controlled equipment
and facilities for prohibited drugs or drug paraphernalia. If the
Company has reasonable cause to suspect that an employee or group of
employees may be in possession of prohibited drugs or drug
paraphernalia in violation of this Policy, the Company may request
such person(s) to submit to a personal search. In addition, employee
personal property and company property is subject to inspection at
any time by dogs trained to detect prohibited drugs. If prohibited
drugs or drug paraphernalia are found, the involved employee(s) will
be subject to immediate termiantion. Employees of Master Pumps are
subject to personal & property searches while on a customer's
property. |
